Day one of Dunlup tire test successful

Stuart has a big grin on his face the whole day. Today was the first testday at the Valencia Circuit in Spain. The new Ducati 1098S is very impressive, and the team has worked hard to get the setup right to suit Stuart's skill's & needs.
It was very windy and a bit cold on Circuito Ricardo Tormo at the annual Dunlop tire test, organised bij Dunlop UK.
So al lot of British teams were on the track all day to test tires, and for the riders to get in shape for the coming season. In the new rules for the Dutch Superbikes it's allowed to use slicks. Stuart loves slicks and he last drove them on a 2500cc two stroke back in 2002. The 1098S proves to be very compatitive, and the team worked well to find a good setup.

Tomorrow more news on the Dunloptests.

21 march 2007 update

Just phoned Arend from Valencia and also the second day was going according to plan. Stuart changed a lot of settings and the bike felt much better than the day before. Stuart set a 1:41 on a cold and very windy track, and according to him there's a lot more in the 1098!
Tomorrow the team drives home, and with our guestdriver George McKay from Bettyhill Scotland it will be a walk in the park.
